Suitable place for exploring Horley. Room was a great value for money. In fact, parking was a pleasant surprise. On-site restaurant Duke of Cambridge was a bonus, had dinner there.
Overall a nice stay, clean and easy to get to airport. Onsite parking is available, reasonably priced restaurant food
I only stayed overnight, so my expereince of the hotel was very limited.
A lack of a lift is the only thing I noticed that would have been useful, but I must say the staff were more than helpful and tok my case up for me.
Efficient, courteous and excellent value for money with the parking for airport.
The restaurant was good, although I had to mention to a member of staff in the restaurant that I was not happy to be charged £4.50 for a scoop of ice cream. However this was rectified; I was then only charged £1.50. The courtesy car took us to and from the airport, so that we could collect our car which we had left in your car park for eight nights.
The twin beds were extremely narrow in our room, number 26, which did not make for a comfortable night's sleep.
This is an excellent hotel if using Gatwick Airport. Friendly and efficient staff, good quality food in the restaurant and a very good price with free airport transfers. Highly recommended.
I enjoyed the comfortable room, the ensuite bathroom, the courtesy of the receptionist on my arrival, the lunch provided to me, the good television in the room, the location and especially the history of the hotel. This could be enlarged upon as it is vary interesting. There are historical societies who might also be intreseted in this buidling. I also appreciated the safety aspects of the hotel as a single traveller. My experience was very positive and I would happily return in the future.
I was ill during my stay and found the rooms chilly.
Friendly staff, clean, comfortable and quiet accommodation, lovely soft fluffy towels and crispy white sheets.
It was clean. The room I was in was on the top floor (very small but all I needed) and had no covering on the skylights and I came in with jetlag. I did sleep but if I was staying longer than one night I would not recommend that room.

Comfortable beds and friendly staff, good food
The shuttle bus from and to Gatwick airport which was 24 hours available. 10 mins far from the airport.Rooms was spacy, very clean. Staff was friendly.
The fans of all the nearby rooms could be heard all night. Even when you open the tap for a few seconds, the fan started working.
The free shuttle to/from the Gatwick airport was great. It only took 8 minutes to get there. A good option if you need to stay near the airport. If you sit across from the reception desk, you can pick up their wi-fi internet signal if you ask them to open it for you. We had a situation, but I believe they handled it well.
The walls were thin, but I think that is common for buildings of this age. You can hear the bathroom fan of the room next door. There is nothing else in the area such as restaurants or stores. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it tasted great. However after midnight I began vomiting and experienced diarrhea. Early morning, my pregnant wife went down and explained the situation. The staff seemed genuinely concerned and provided us with still water and crackers. At around 6am my wife started with the vomiting at diarrhea. I made it down and told them I was worried because my wife was pregnant. They suggested we taxi to the hospital. We were both put on IV fluids. We had to stay another night, but they did not make us pay.
ease of stay friendly staff good for gatwick airport pick up and drop off good.
Pleasant easy-going ambience; listed building. Though this was during the Iceland volcanic ash crisis when Gatwick airport was closed and the hotel was almost empty. Larger room than usual at this price.
Rather deceptive website photo. And if the hotel is willing to offer free wi-fi access, why not make it available in-room, to save having to go to reception, get a connection and sit in the bar till you've finished?
We used the hotel as an overnight stop between flights into and out of Gatwick. The hotel provides a free pick up and return to the airport, which was very quick. The hotel is clean and the rooms comfortable. Had an excellent nights sleep before continuing with our journey.
